About the Resort
At 1700m, Meribel Mottaret is one of the highest resorts in the Alps, that means fantastic snow conditions and the north facing slopes assures reliable snow even late in the season. Located at the summit of the Meribel Valley it acts as a link to the Three Valleys, providing access to the 600 km of pistes available.
Mottaret is a purpose- built resort, mostly consisting of self-catered ski-in ski-out accommodation.
Meribel Centre can be reached by a Free Resort Bus Service operating throughout the day /evening(making Nightlife accessible!) and also an easy ski run via the Trout to Chaudanne linking up the Meribel Ski Area.
The gondola lift runs continuously until 8.p.m. between Le Hameau and Mottaret Centre, where the Tourist Office, Ski School, Pharmacy, Doctor’s Surgery , ATM and P.O. are based.
Ski Hire
Ski hire is recommended at Mottaret Sports the owner and manager, Benjamin is very helpful to all our clients and will give you a very fair rate, he is extremely nice too. The shop is located on the right hand side as you approach the double glass doors leading to the Supermarche.
Many of our clients like to reserve skis/boots ahead, especially during peak periods, Benjamin the owner can be reached at the branch of Mottaret Sports in the Commercial Centrale and Max is the manager at La Cordee in Le Hameau his tel no: is +33 (0) 479 00 40 94.

How to Get There
EUROSTAR - St Pancras – Moutiers
Direct with one stop at Ashford en route.
There are two ways to travel, leaving Friday evening and arriving very early on Saturday morning, or travelling all day Saturday and arriving in the evening.
BUS & TAXIS - Moutiers - Mottaret
There are buses as well as taxis at Moutier Station which will take you direct to Mottaret.
The return journey leaves either early Saturday morning or very late on Saturday evening.
The disadvantage of arriving in the early morning, is not being able to get in to the apartment until later in the day unless the previous week has been vacant.
